Hey Friend!
I am so happy that you stopped in to learn a little about me.
If you had asked me a few months ago to introduce myself, it would have gone a little like this:
I am Alyssa & Callie’s mom, Justin’s wife, & an HR Generalist. I have an MBA, obtained my PHR certification, & am currently pursuing a CCP designation. My name is Haylee Galloway.
At first glance, that seems about right. But something was missing…
Me! I had lost my self in the day to day upkeep & responsibilities of my other roles. I had even become irritable & resentful, which are two words that I would never have previously used to describe myself.
I felt broken & lost. The fallout was evident in my performance at work & in my relationships with those I care about most. My heart was broken, but I had no idea what was wrong, or any clue how to fix it. One day I found myself browsing the aisles at our local bookstore, when I suddenly stopped.
I knew what “it” was! I have always loved reading, & in the last three years had hardly picked up a single book.
What else did I love that was missing from my life?
I started making a list of things that bring out the best in me.
- Playing
- Reading
- Singing
- Arts & Crafts
- Writing
- Cooking
- Traveling
My self had once again awakened. Quickly the resentment & irritability began to fade. My results at work improved & I was smiling more.
So, let me introduce myself again- my real self.
I am Haylee! I’m a fun-loving, spontaneous, creative, old soul. I love my family more than words can express, & I am so proud to be the mother of two amazing girls. I am honored to be a wife to my hard-working husband, who is such a believer in my ability to succeed. I enjoy filling any free time with reading, photography, cooking, & exploring. I
What a difference! Now, think about how you would introduce yourself. I hope you have not allowed your self to get lost along the way, but even if you have, it is never too late to find her again!
I am so excited to share my journey with you, and look forward to sharing encouragement along the way.
